Chongyang Institute of Finance, Renmin University of China was established on January 19, 2013. Qiu Guogan, chairman of Shanghai Chongyang Investment Management Co., Ltd., donated 200 million yuan to Alma Mater, the main sponsor of the project. It was presided by Renmin University of China and member of the Central Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee Professor Chen Yulu served as president. Currently, NPC has a full-time staff of nearly 30 people, recruited 52 former politicians, bankers and renowned scholars from more than 10 countries as senior researchers, and cooperates with think tanks in nearly 30 countries.
