Asymptomatic abnormalities in liver function are often detected during physical examinations prior to going aboard for ocean going seafarers, with elevated alanine aminotransferase (ALT). In order to determine whether these seafarers are contagious and have other illnesses, in order to make the timely decision on whether to embark on the ship or to provide early treatment and guidance to them. For this reason, we analyzed and discussed the phenomenon of asymptomatic ALT found in ocean seafarers’ medical examination in recent years. Report as follows now.
