语文素质主要包括两个方面,一个是语言素质,另一个是人文素质。语言素质主要体现在语文是交流工具、思维工具;人文素质主要体现在语文是文化的载体、思想的载体,有浓郁的感情因素。语文的素质教育就是全面培养和提高学生的语文素质,使其语言素质和人文素质都得到提高。语文素质关系到人整体的素质,是其他素质提高的基础,因此,要加强语文素质教育,尤其对于初中生来讲,正是提高语文素质的最佳机会,所以作为初中教育工作者要在语文教学中落实素质教育,提高学生的语文素质。
