加强海峡两岸的经济协作是炎黄子孙的共同愿望,各界人士为此纷纷献策.1992年初在香港召开的“中华经济协作系统国际研讨会”上进行了种种探讨.“华南经济圈”的界定华南经济圈的范围,包括中国大陆的福建、广东、广西、海南四省和台湾、香港、澳门三个地区.在大陆方面,有人提出,海峡两岸的经济协作不应限制在华南四省,而当扩展到华东地区,特别是浙江、江苏、山东等省.这个意见是有理由的,尤其是开发开放上海浦东后.但由于大陆沿海开放的地理和时序差异,目前以建立华南经济圈较为现实.
