建国以来,随着我国经济建设的发展,科技情报事业逐步发展起来,许多地区和部门科技文献收藏品种日益增多。随着科技文献大幅度增多,提高利用率已成为当前一个普遍问题。据初步了解,全国20多个已建省级综合性情报所(不包括直辖市)收藏文献少的在10万件(册、份)左右,多的近6百万件(册、份),而每天平均接待读者少的仅有10人次左右,多的也只有近百人次。以
