IODP349航次基于IODP 735—CPP2建议书,将重点解决中国南海(SCS)的扩张历史和形成机制,以及对东亚和西太平洋构造和古环境演化影响的科学问题。该勘探将在水深3.3~4.4km的4个不同区域进行钻探取心(图1),并穿透沉积物至大洋玄武岩,确定中生代晚期以来南海的解体和盆地形成的历史;在不同的磁场区及周边主要构造事件的不同年龄段的基底进行岩石地球化学采样,揭示地壳和地幔如何演变,为各阶段的盆地演化提供重要信息。
Based on IODP 735-CPP2, IODP 349 voyage will focus on addressing the scientific history of South China Sea (SCS) expansion history and formation mechanisms and their impact on the tectonic and paleoenvironmental evolution of East Asia and the Western Pacific. The exploration will drill in 4 different areas of 3.3 ~ 4.4km depth (Figure 1) and penetrate the sediments to the oceanic basalts to determine the history of the dissolution and basin formation of the South China Sea since the late Mesozoic. In different magnetic field regions And the surrounding major tectonic events of different ages of the base rock petrochemical sampling to reveal how the crust and mantle evolution, the evolution of the basin for each stage to provide important information.
