The 49th Prospectors and Developers Conference, held in Toronto, Canada, from 8 to 11 March 1981, attracted more than 4,000 prospectors to the Royal York Hotel, a 30% increase in attendance over the previous year. The theme of the conference was: “Can prospecting technology meet the demand for minerals?” According to the enthusiastic mood and professionalism of the delegates, the prospecting and exploration industry in Canada will meet the challenge well. During the panel discussion , George Miller, of the Center for Resource Research at the University of Queensland in Canada, argues that the need to manage knowledge in the 1980s, financial knowledge and superb technical knowledge combined. RW Hutchinson of the University of Western Ontario said the three major methods of prospecting Medium and geological methods
