The genetic variation, heritability, amount of genetic progress, correlation and path coefficient of 26 C. annuum L. genotypes in the transitional region of Karnataka in India were analyzed. Found that their first-level branch number, fruit length, pericarp thickness, number of fruit per plant and the yield of single plant high genetic and phenotypic variation coefficient; fruit length and yield per plant of high heritability, and The genetic traits of both traits are high (expressed in% above the mean). The yield per plant was positively correlated with the number of fruit per plant and the length of stalk.
