根据我国卫生部与世界卫生组织(WHO)的合作规划,我们一行4人的卫生部医学科学基金考察组,于1989年10月4日至28日对美国和加拿大医学科学基金的10个资助单位和7个申请单位进行了考察。考察期间先后与58位教授、专家和高级管理职员进行了座谈,并受到美国哥伦比亚大学副校长Aaron N.Bloch、哈佛大学医学院长Daniel C.Tosfeson和加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学医学院长John Dirks的接见。世界卫生组织和有关接待单位对我们这次考察安排周到,接待比较热情。
