On November 18, 2011, when Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and Belarusian President Lukashenko signed the new series of documents on the integration of Eurasian Economic Communities in the Kremlin, Medvedev Emphasizing: ”This meeting is likely to be one of the major events of the year and we have taken an important step toward building the Eurasian Economic Union. This alliance will undoubtedly have a bearing on the future development of each of our countries.“ During the ”tripartite meeting," the three countries signed a series of documents on the new stage of integration, including the Declaration on the Eurasian Economic Integration, the Treaty on Eurasian Economic Activities and the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Work Charter, This marks a new stage in the economic integration of Russia, Belarus and the Kazakh countries. In line with the long-term plan described in the Declaration on the Eurasian Economic Integration, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will start a new phase of integration based on the principles and standards of the WTO.
