On May 23-27, 1986, the Metallurgical Geological Society deposit special committee held a meeting on chromium ore prospecting in Yichang, and 47 representatives from metallurgy geological system research and production units attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhou Cantei, a senior engineer and deputy director of the deposit special committee, Wang Kanan. At the meeting, the experiences, methods, research results and ore-forming theories of ore prospecting at home and abroad were exchanged.
