With the rapid development of China’s socialist construction and the ever-increasing standard of living of the people, the demand for benzene and xylene, the three major raw materials for synthetic materials, especially synthetic fibers, has rapidly increased. Therefore, using toluene disproportionation method to convert a large amount of toluene from petroleum refining into benzene and xylene is an important way to solve the imbalance between supply and demand of triphenylbenzene.
