(一) 庭院栽植果树,经常发现品种不够理想,如果刨掉另栽,要等很长时间才能开花结果。又快又好的办法就是运用高接方式,为果树改头换面。高接换头两三年内即可收到“劣种变良种”的效果。用这种方法还可以在一棵树不同方位的枝条上,嫁接不同树种或品种的接穗,使之开不同形态和颜色的花,结不同色泽和风味的果。既有观赏价值,又有实际意义,一举双得。比如,可以在山杏树的不同枝上嫁接桃、李、杏栽培良种的接穗,使“三姐妹”
