The development of the latest generation of embedded ammunition (CTA) is also aimed at developing a NATO-standard 45mm ammunition that offers 30% more performance and 30% less weight and volume than the conventional structure 30%. At the 1994 Saturni Exhibition in Europe, France's GIAT and the Royal Armories of the United Kingdom made the first release of embedded munitions. The formal cooperation between the two companies was in October 1994 to meet this challenge. The international joint development of embedded munitions aims to establish and maintain Europe's leading position in the field of embedded ammunition.
