概念模糊不清,往往会影响一门科学正常发展。目录学既然作为一门科学,就应首先澄清其最基本的概念。在我国目录学研究中,不少同志对目录、目录学、目录工作,这几个概念不清,以至许多推论让人感到难以置信。本文试图对这些基本概念进行阐述,以此来看我国目录学研究中存在的问题。“目录”二字在许多先秦古籍和出土文物中,是分开的。“目”是眼睛。在甲骨文中即为一个象形的眼睛。“录”字,在《说文解字》里解为刻本、象形。即象一把刀把要记的事情刻在木头上。甲骨文是先写后刻,叫“书契”,因出土于殷墟,又称“殷
The concept of ambiguity often affects the normal development of science. As a science, bibliography should first clarify its most basic concepts. In the study of bibliography in our country, quite a few comrades work on catalogs, bibliography and catalogs. These concepts are unclear and many of them are inconceivable.
