中国共产党的优秀党员,忠诚的无产阶级革命战士,中国人民政治协商会议第一届全体会议代表、第五、六、七届全国委员会委员,中国国民党革命委员会中央监察委员会副主席,黄埔军校同学会理事廖运周同志.因病医治无效,于1996年5月11日在北京逝世。廖运周同志1903年11月出生于安徽淮南。1925年底考入黄埔军校第五期炮科学习。毕业后到国民革命军叶挺部任特务连连长,参加了北伐战争。1927年3月在武昌加入中国共产党。同年,他参加了“八一”南昌起义。1928年后受中共中央军委的指派,到国民党军队中从事地下党兵运工作,在十分艰险的处境下作出重要贡献。
Outstanding Communist Party members, loyal proletarian revolutionary fighters, representatives of the first plenary session of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, members of the 5th, 6th, and 7th National Committees, vice chairman of the Central Supervision Commission of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, members of the Whampoa Military Academy Comrade Liao Yunzhou, died in Beijing on May 11, 1996, because of invalid medical treatment. Liao Yunzhou Comrade was born in November 1903 in Huainan, Anhui. The end of 1925 was admitted to the Whampoa Military Academy fifth artillery. After graduation to the National Revolutionary Army Ye Ting even spy company commander, participated in the Northern Expedition. 1927 March Wuchang joined the Chinese Communist Party. In the same year, he participated in the August 1 Nanchang Uprising. After being assigned by the Central Military Commission of the CPC Central Committee after 1928, it has made an important contribution to the underground military operations carried out by the Kuomintang troops in a very difficult situation.
