小泽征尔(Ozawa,Seiji)是当今世界乐坛最为著名的亚裔指挥家。他1935年出生于中国沈阳,其后又随家人返回日本故里。他青年时期漂洋过海,到欧洲闯荡他的音乐之路。1959年在贝藏松比赛上获奖,1960年获库塞维斯基奖学金。1961年至1965年间,曾两度在纽约爱乐乐团担任伯恩斯坦的助理指挥,之后先后任多伦多交响乐团、波士顿交响乐团指挥,是在国际上有极大影响力的音乐家之一。由于他与中国的渊源,因此对中国人民有着深厚的感情,尤其关注中国音乐的发展与进步,曾多次来华公演和讲学,深受欢迎和爱戴。本文是小泽征尔对自己最初的音乐经历的生动记述,可以帮助热爱他的音乐艺术的人们,进一步加深对这位世界瞩目的音乐人物的了解与认知。
Ozawa, Seiji is the most famous Asian conductor in today’s world of music. He was born in Shenyang, China in 1935, and later returned to his hometown in Japan with his family. He traveled across the oceans in his youth and traveled to Europe for his music. 1959 won the Bayeuxan competition in 1960, won the Kuusaisi Fuji scholarship. From 1961 to 1965, he was twice co-conductor of Bernstein with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra before being the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He is one of the internationally influential musicians. Because of his origins with China, he has a profound feeling for the Chinese people, paying particular attention to the development and progress of Chinese music. He has performed and performed lectures many times in China and is very much welcomed and loved.
