An airborne tactical missile engine casing wound with Kevlar-49 fibers has been developed. The housing consists of a basic high-pressure container with partial reinforcement near the steel lug / aluminum webbing suspension system for suspension on the carrier. To evaluate various designs and to determine the properties of the composite, small size high pressure vessels and cylinders were tested in the range of -65 ° F to + 145 ° F.
