镇巴县当前的大农业生态系统非常紊乱、脆弱,其病根是“人稠、地瘠、民穷”。人稠:明末清初以前,镇巴属人迹罕见的原始森林地带。清朝中期,移民流入镇巴,以毁林垦荒为生,人口增长较缓,解放初为13万人。1950年以来,人口激增,已翻了一番多,达到26.7万多人,每平方公里79人。就山区当前的生产水平来说,人口密度已经超过负荷了。尽管提倡一孩化,公元2000
