该项成果自1979年开始进行亲本自交不亲和系选育的研究,1986年育成父本“春”自交不亲和系,1987年育成母本“争”自交不亲和系,由该二亲本配制的一代杂种“争春”自1983年以来连续进行7年的小区品比试验和大面积生产试验,取得满意结果。“争春”比目前生产上应用的“鸡心”、“牛心”品种提早7天左右上市,是春淡补缺的好品种,且品质优良,具有外形美,包心极紧,中心柱短,纤维少,组织柔嫩,吃口糯软等优点,一般亩产量可达2000—3000公斤,比“鸡心”,“牛心”正常增产50％以上,而且冬性强,先期不易抽苔,是目前长江流域以南地区唯一的优良春甘蓝一代杂种。
