弥勒一中创建于一九三四年十二月,有76年的办学历史,2001年评定为云南省一级三等完全中学。弥勒一中占地650亩,建筑面积63000多平方米,教学用房面积40000余平方米。教学楼、科教楼、图书楼、综合楼、男女生宿舍楼等教学用房齐备,能满足4000余名学生住校读书。72座微机室,电子阅览室,多媒体室,理、化、生实验室等教学设施均按教育部颁Ⅰ类标准配备齐全,教室均配有多媒体投影设施、校园广播和宽带信息网。
Maitreya was founded in December 1934 and has a history of 76 years of school running. In 2001, Maitreya was assessed as a third-class full secondary school in Yunnan Province. Maitreya covers an area of 650 mu, building area of 63,000 square meters, teaching space area of 40,000 square meters. Teaching building, science and education building, library building, comprehensive building, boys and girls dormitory and other teaching room available to meet the more than 4,000 students live in school. 72 computer rooms, electronic reading rooms, multimedia rooms, science, chemistry and biology laboratories and other teaching facilities are all equipped with Class I standards by the Ministry of Education. The classrooms are equipped with multimedia projection facilities, campus radio and broadband information networks.
