我们伟大的祖国历史悠久,文献典籍灿烂浩瀚,档案工作传统源远流长。自殷商以来的古代甲骨金石,秦汉期间的竹简缣帛,以至流传至今的现代纸墨文书和声像录摄制品等,形成大量形形色色、名目繁多的文件材料。其年代之久远,数量之庞大,内容之丰富,价值之珍贵,都为世界其它国家所少有。 如此博广珍贵的史料构成了中华民族文化遗产的重要组成部分。档案一词,虽初见于清代,然以现今档案专业的观点和术语而言,前述诸类文件材料统可将其称之为档案。由此可见档案者,即是人类在社会活动
Our great motherland has a long history, a splendid collection of documents, and a long tradition of archive work. Ancient stone tablets since Shang Dynasty, bamboo slips of silk during Qin and Han dynasties, and modern paper-ink instruments and audio-video recordings that have been in existence since ancient times, forming a great variety of documentary materials of various kinds. Its age is far, the number of large, rich content, precious value, are rare in the rest of the world. So broad and precious historical materials constitute an important part of the cultural heritage of the Chinese nation. Although the word “archives” first appeared in the Qing Dynasty, in the opinion and terminology of today’s archival professionalism, the aforementioned types of documents and materials may be called archives. This shows that archivists, that is, human beings in social activities
