我省企业部门半年多以来,贯彻执行了中央提出的“多、快、好、省”的生产方针,发动职工群众,开展了先进生产者运动,职工生产积极性高涨,完成或超额完成了任务,而在生产与安全密切结合方面,有的部门也作出了成绩,但也有的生产企业单位,对安全工作不重视,以致发生了伤亡事故。半年多以来,厂矿和建筑等企业中的伤亡事故不断发生,且有逐月上升的趋势。据1至8月份全省伤亡事故统计:死亡188人、重伤178人、轻伤7,542人,与去年同期相比,仅死亡人数即增加了10.4%,仅8月份死亡竟达50人。按产业来看,最严重的是煤矿业和建筑业,而尤以煤矿业最为严重。煤矿业1至8月份死亡109人,占这一时期死亡事故总数的58%,仅8月份即死亡35人,平均每天死亡一人多,与去年1至8
