如果说,在中国足球职业化进程中少数可圈点的事件中,组建当年的健力宝青年队远赴足球之乡巴西留学确实不得不提。1992年4月25日,中国足协与健力宝集团签订协议,正式组建健力宝队。同年,在经过层层选拔后入选的22名1977-1978年龄段的少年于1993年11月由北京飞赴巴西圣保罗。在巴西期间,全队驻扎于远离圣保罗的小山村,条件恶劣,基本与山外的社会隔绝。训练场地也是队员与教练亲手整理出来的。在巴西,小队员们共参加了165场比赛。而正是这样一支球队,也真如当年足协所预料到的一样,擎起了中国职业足球十几年后的一片天。球队中被寄予厚望的四小天鹅,此时的他们正值职业球员的当打之年,载着那桑巴梦,见证中超三年的是是非非。
