The measured MT curve of a certain point may be the result of the interaction between one-dimensional, two-dimensional or three-dimensional geoelectric bodies, respectively, or their combined effect. The simulation and interpretation of these data depend on the size of the contribution that the three different constructs make in the curve. Six MT sounding curves are given in the article as examples of discriminating the constructed dimensions by conventional and new methods.
