A special session of the WTO Council on Trade in Services was held in Geneva, Switzerland recently. The major developed countries and regions have basically agreed on the resumption of the negotiations on liberalization of maritime transport. Taking advantage of the fact that the WTO will resume the negotiations on the liberalization of maritime transport, they have called for negotiations on liberalization of maritime transport from an integrated transport perspective.
