介绍人民公社,可以说是接触到中国经济建设的基本情况。我们所有的人一开始访问中国,就都希望去访问人民公社;因为人民公社是中国经济建设的基本单位,而且是社会主义建设的新方法。松冈洋子先生曾想在人民公社里生活两三天,和农民一起谈一谈,但是没有做得到。当时,正赶上农民抢收麦子,忙于耕种,非常紧张,挤不出时间;同时,我们的旅行日程也排得很紧,无论如何也匀不出到人民公社去的时间。
