通讯不同于一般的消息报道,它是关于新闻事实多维度地深入、详细的报道,它对文章题材的选取、故事的讲述、细节的描写等都有特殊要求,既要深入细致,又要体现广度与深度。作为全国优秀新闻作品最高奖,中国新闻奖对通讯与深度报道作品有以下描述:用分析性报道、解释性报道、调查性报道、新闻特写、新闻综述等表现手法对新闻人物、事件等进行深入和详细报道的新闻作品;而对其评奖标准,则有“评议、刻画到位,感染力强”一项。
