黄禹锡本来是一个有才华的科学家,他在动物克隆领域掌握的技术,已经得到世界科学界的承认。他的确克隆出了猪、牛和科学界公认最难克隆的狗。这些成果令他成为生命科学领域的权威人物。当干细胞研究论文与实验数据造假被揭穿时,黄禹锡一下子从令人景仰的民族英雄沦为国耻。韩国民众不得不直面黄禹锡神话的破灭,终于从惊愕、沮丧中醒悟过来,开始反思造成这一悲剧的根由。
Hwang Woo-tin was originally a talented scientist. His mastery of animal cloning has been recognized by the world's scientific community. He did clone the pigs, cattle, and dogs that the scientific community recognized as the hardest clones. These achievements make him an authority in the life sciences. When stem-cell research papers and experimental data were unmasked, Hwang suddenly became a shameless national hero. South Korean people had to confront the demise of the myth of Hwang Woo-Suk and finally awakened from their consternation and frustration to begin to reflect on the root cause of this tragedy.
