刘克庄,是辛派词人的代表人物,具有比较丰富的词学思想。他在传统词学观的基础上提出了一种词学“本色”说,这种“本色”观不辨婉约词派和豪放词派,具有调和论色彩。其实质是强调词要在协律可歌的词体特征上,基于现实“缘情”而作。从刘克庄的创作实际来看,豪放词亦无损“本色”论所关注的“缘情”“协律可歌”“流丽绵密”之致。它是一种发展的词学观,但也存在着一些局限。
