牌记,也称书牌子,是我国古籍印刷中记录划书者姓名、堂号、刊刻年代的一种标志,一般刻在目录、凡例之后,也有的刻在书的卷末。牌记的发展直接影响了书名页的产生,可以说牌记作为书名页的基础,是从手抄过渡到印刷时代最显著的进步之一。但我国古籍印刷中的牌记究竟产生于何时,学术界的意见尚不统一。有的著作把牌记产生的时间定在宋代,这显然不够确切。下面我们尝试对牌记的产生和发展作一简述,希望得到专家的教正。
Brand, also known as book brand, is the record of our ancient books, writers name, hall number, engraved a symbol of the era, usually engraved in the directory, after all, some engraved in the end of the book. The development of the card directly affects the production of the title page. It can be said that the card as the basis of the title page is one of the most significant progress from copying to printing. However, when the cards in ancient Chinese printing came into being, the opinions of the academic circles are not uniform. It is clearly not clear enough that some books set the time for card production in the Song Dynasty. Here we try to give a brief account of the birth and development of cards, hoping to get the experts to correct.
