荣宝斋画院立足于对中华民族传统文化的继承与发扬,以及对中国书画进行全面深入的研究与探讨,同时依托百年荣宝斋在书画界的学术与艺术品市场等方面的广泛影响,力争扩大荣宝斋在艺术教育和当今中国书画的发展方面做出努力,为提高广大人民群众的艺术素养和社会主义精神文明的建设做出贡献。荣宝斋画院分春秋两季招生,多年来积累了丰富的教学经验,在教学过程中通过专家讲座、古代艺术品鉴赏、近现代名作观摩及日常授课专家的现场示范、答疑、辅导等多种教学方式,来提高学员的专业素质和技能,开阔他们的艺术视野,为学员今后的艺术道路发展打下良好的基础,同时也为中国传统书画的当代发展培养了大量的艺术人才。
