胆固醇是人体不可缺少的营养物质,但是长期大量摄入是不利于身体健康的,会使血清胆固醇升高,增加心血管疾病的危险性。已经患高胆固醇血症的老年人,应常吃以下可以降低胆固醇的食物。苹果因富含果胶、纤维素和维生素C,有非常好的降脂作用。如果每天吃两个苹果,坚持一个月,大多数人血液中的低密度脂蛋白胆固醇(对心血管有害)会降低,而对心血管有益的高密度脂蛋白胆固醇水平会升高。
