The first introduction of electrorheological (ER) theory into capillary electrophoresis (CE), the concept of electrocatalytic screening agent was proposed and the potential application of ER fluid in CE was discussed. The results show that the ER fluid can form a new CE separation mode for electrocatalytic screening due to its unique electro-visc-shear, electrical properties and spatial network structure
