To verify whether sildenafil (50 mg administered daily for one year) improves spontaneous erectile function (EF) in patients with mild to moderate arterial erectile dysfunction (ED), Sommer F et al. Performed a prospective Open-label trial of 112 men with ED who were randomized to receive either 50 mg sildenafil daily or 50 mg or 100 mg sildenafil on demand followed by non-drug treatment in January and June .
