On 11 July 1994, an unusual incident took place in the Belarusian political arena. In the second presidential election of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko, the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission of the original parliament, 80.1% of the absolute majority voted for the victory of its chief rival, the former Prime Minister 克比奇, thus becoming the first President in the history of the Republic of Belarus. After his inauguration, Lukashenko claimed that he will unite all political forces in China to work together to revitalize the Belarusian economy, curb inflation, stop rising prices, prevent further impoverishment of residents, punish corrupt elements and crack down on black hand
