广西左右江革命根据地,是第二次国内革命战争时期,由我党在少数民族地区创建的一块较大的根据地。它在中国革命历史上写下了光辉的一页。 一、左右江革命根据地创建的历史背景 左右江革命根据地创建于一九二九年。它位于广西的西部,包括百色、东兰、凤山、思阳(现属田阳县)、奉议(现田阳县)、 恩隆 (现田东县)、思林 (现属田东县)、果德(现属平果县)、向都(现属天等县)、隆安、镇结(现属天等县)、龙州、宁明、明江(现属宁明县)、崇善(现属崇左县)、雷平(现属大新县)、养利(现属大新县)等近二十个县。人口三百万左右。壮、瑶等少数民族占总人口的百分之九十以上。党之所以在这个时候选择这地区实行“工农武装割据”,其主要原因是:
