“外国影片带劲儿,国产片子孬。”很多青年观众这样说。的确,有一些外国片子,例如《苔丝》,可以说,达到了相当完美的程度。仅以摄影而论,那一幅幅沉郁的图象,酷似十九世纪欧洲农村风俗画家的杰作,令人叹为观止。但是我觉得,说凡外国影片就好,这种看法是失之偏颇的。青年观众之所以有这种看法,原因是多方面的。我认为主要有三: 一方面是,许多青年观众不了解为什么我们看到的外国影片都比较好。我们所看到的外国影片都是优中选优,选出来的。当今世界影片的产量十分惊人,不管我国译制部门译制的速度如何加快,但能译出来的终究有限。以印度影片为例,这个“电影之国”年产量为七百多部,经过反复筛选,译过来的不到百分之一。所以,我们能看到象《大篷车》一类质量较高的影片。另一方面,我国影评工作主要是对内,报刊
