有人说,历史是螺旋式前进的,意思是,某段历史似乎是某前段历史的重复,但实际上两者之间却存在着时间距离。我们之所以要以史为鉴,恐怕就是要从这种看似重复的现象中吸取经验和教训吧。
Some people say that history is a spiral forward, which means that a certain period of history seems to be a repetition of the previous period of history, but in fact there is a time gap between the two. The reason why we should learn from history is that we should learn from this seemingly duplicate phenomenon and learn from it.
