江泽民同志指出,我们党必须始终代表中国先进生产力的发展要求。代表中国先进文化的前进方向,代表中国最广大人民的根本利益。他指出,“三个代表”是我们党的立党之本,执政之基,力量之源。贯彻好“三个代表”要求,必须使全党保持与时俱进的精神状态,要最广泛,最充分地调动一切积极因素。为此,重视加强和改进新形势下的思想政治工作,是全党的一件大事,是宣传思想工作的重中之重,也是调动一切积极因素的根本大计。

Therefore, paying attention to strengthening and improving the ideological and political work in the new situation is a major event for the whole party, a top priority for propaganda and ideological work, and a fundamental plan for mobilizing all positive factors.
