一、前言东得克萨斯州二百万英亩松阔混交林采伐后,种上了火炬松和湿地松。这些非荒地立地上的造林,不一定都采用集约整地法。照现在这样的速度,到2000年东得克萨斯州将有四百万英亩在非荒地上营造起来的人工松林。估计这些非荒地立地上生长的火炬松和湿地松人工林的生产力,是预测未来木材收获量的关键。有人已在西墨西哥湾(West Gulf)的主伐立地或无问题立地建立了地位指数预估方程,这些方程可能适合于东得克萨斯州的湿地松人工林。
I. INTRODUCTION After harvesting two million acres of coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest in Eastern Texas, planted with loblolly pine and pine. The afforestation on these non-wasteland sites does not always require the intensive land preparation. At this rate, by 2004 there will be four million acres of artificial pine forests that East Eastern Texas has built on non-heath land. Estimating the productivity of Pinus taeda and Pinus elliottii plantations grown on these non-heath stands is key to predicting future wood harvest. Site index predictions have been established on the main West Gulf site or on the site without any problems and these equations may be suitable for Pinus elliottii plantations in eastern Texas.
