Cardiac hypertrophy is closely related to 2K-1C (2-kidney, 1-clip) type of renovascular hypertension. The authors studied the effects of long-term administration of rosewater Hibiscus sabdariffa (HS) aqueous extracts on blood pressure and cardiac hypertrophy in 2K-1C renovascular hypertensive rats.
