奥运渐近,紧迫感日盛。此时此刻,青岛市市长夏耕代表城市郑重承诺:“2008,青岛已经准备好!”显示了青岛对于举办一届成功的奥帆赛的信心与期待。一个没有筹备大型赛事经验的城市怎样应对奥林匹克的洗礼?从无到有的过程中经历过怎样的艰辛和得舍?伴随奥运脚步,中国品牌如何壮大成长?自7年前申奥成功的那一刻,奥林匹克秉承的“更快、更高、更强”的竞技理念,开始以倒计时的速度体现在揭幕前所有的筹备工作中。一个没有举办大型国际帆船赛事经验的城市:一个2004年之前,没有正式用于帆船赛比赛场馆的城市;一个普通市民对现代帆船运动和奥运标准的国际帆船赛知之甚少的城市……为了同一个梦想,一直在努力。以更完美的姿态,近距离感受并融入源自奥林匹亚山的气息,无疑是对奥运伙伴城市的特殊馈赠。兴建奥运场馆、升级基础设施、改善水质环境、普及帆船文化、推介帆船之都、营造海外声誉……一系列从硬件到软件再到外界舆论评价的升级战役,在整个城市全面拉开,直至青岛能够自信地承诺:“我们准备好了”。
