Three figures were prepared by the Wendler Market Information Center in Switzerland, depicting long-term comparisons of world trade (total 33 countries) of industrial high-tenacity polyester filaments (including tire cord) from 1998 to 2004. However, due to the small number of manufacturing plants (eg Germany and the Netherlands) some export statistics were not given, so the export volume had to be estimated on the basis of the import statistics of 24 countries. 1 Import increased by 10% In 2004,
