电子公告板（Bulletin Board System,简称BBS）,是互联网的元老,具有交互性和可管理性。随着国际互联网的迅疾发展,现今一般意义上的BBS,是指Internet网上的电子公告板。公告板广泛应用于Internet的各个方面,如信息的发布、查询及反馈等。 要在Internet上建立自己的公告板,你得需要有CGI（Common Gateway Interface,通用网关接口）知识,对某种脚本语言,如Perl语言的了解,并要获准进入主机系统为你分配的cgi-bin目录等。可惜的是,目前国内的免费主页提供cgi服务的还不多见。因此,许多网民没有机会接触这方面的知识。
The Bulletin Board System (BBS) is the Internet’s veteran with interactivity and manageability. With the rapid development of the Internet, the BBS in the current general sense refers to the electronic bulletin board on the Internet. Bulletin boards are widely used in all aspects of the Internet, such as the release of information, queries and feedback. To set up your own bulletin board on the Internet, you need to have knowledge of CGI (Common Gateway Interface), knowledge of a scripting language such as Perl, and be given permission to enter the host system’s assigned cgi- bin directory and so on. Unfortunately, the current domestic free cgi service is not unusual. As a result, many Internet users do not have access to this knowledge.
