唐英,字俊公,别名“叔子”、“陶成居士”、“陶铸”等。关东沈阳汉军正白旗人。生于康熙二十一年(1682年)农历五月初五,卒于乾隆二十一年(1756年),曾侍奉过康熙、雍正、乾隆三朝皇帝。他长期在内务府任职,于雍正六年始至乾隆二十一年主持江西景德镇御窑厂督陶事宜,因成绩卓著深得当朝皇帝的垂青。天津市艺术博物馆珍藏的瓷塑白釉观音像,就是唐英于乾隆十三年(1748年)奉旨烧造的。此白釉观音菩萨像,高19.5、宽21、底
