首次系统描述了江西修水流域五峰期叉笔石９种和亚种。在对性状极性和性状状态分析的基础之上，运用最小进化单质法对该区五峰期叉笔石的分支图进行重建，揭示了叉笔石的亲近关系和进化水平；主要依据地层分布将分支图转化为系统树，探讨了叉笔石的演化关系。
