Sun 公司给大家的印象一向是开发、销售大型的软硬件系统,3月18日该公司发布了名为 PersonalApplications(个人应用)的小型浏览器。该浏览器基于 Java 技术,将主要应用于电视顶置盒、手持电话等即将接入 Internet 的消费类电器。这也是 Sun 进军小型设备领域的又一步骤。
Sun Microsystems has been impressed with the development and sales of large hardware and software systems. On March 18, the company released a small browser called PersonalApplications. The browser is based on Java technology and will be mainly used in consumer appliances such as TV set-top boxes and hand-held phones to be connected to the Internet. This is another step in Sun’s move into smaller devices.
