Every day， the first thing I do when I wake up is thank God that I am alive and well. The second thing I do is ask myself， “Why do I love football？” I say to myself， that’s simple. Football is my life！ This is my story.
Ever since I was five years old， I have played football. At first， I started out casually， playing flag football. Soon afterwards， I began playing tackle football. Ever since then， I have never stopped playing. My dream is to one day play professional football， like all the great players and athletes I grew up watching. I realize that many young athletes share the same dream.
My “football life” is my escape from reality， and at times， that means everything to me. I am hardworking and attending college in hope of getting a better life. I know that it sounds old and somewhat ordinary； however， when I play football， it is my transport to a peaceful existence. Of course to many people， peaceful football doesn’t exist. However， for me， football really is peaceful.
My parents have always been a strong， positive force in my life. In my childhood and my young adult life， I did not truly understand the value of this until recently.
My mom has always been my greatest supporter. As a matter of fact， she was the one who introduced me to football. She always made time to help me perfect my football skills and always stressed my arm strength. My mom would never miss any of my practices or games. However， I do not wish to discount any of my dad’s efforts because my dad has always taught me to challenge myself and be determined enough to overcome any difficulty that presented itself in my life.
I appreciate every moment in life， whether good or bad. I use this thought to help me and keep me strong. I gather all my advantages， fears， and wants and use them to make myself a better person.
My parents have taught me to enjoy every day and everything that life brings my way. Because of this， I surround myself with loved ones， friends and laughter. I will Forever Love Football， because Football to me means My Life！
