向日葵虽然没有牡丹的华丽、春兰的幽雅、秋菊的妍媚和玫瑰的清香,但它朴实而坚强,扎根大地,展开阔叶.挺起胸膛;风吹雨打不弯腰,昂首迎着太阳笑……向日葵原产在北美洲西南部。哥伦布发现美洲后,在十六世纪初传入欧洲,匈牙利首先从葵花中提取油脂。三百多年前,向日葵由南洋传入我国。解放前,只作为一种观赏植物并炒食其种子。现已在全国各地普遍做为油料作物种植。
